I’m trying to make some money on ebay but am confused about what to sell, I am into sports cards and sport collectibles and thing like that. If anyone can help me with how to get started making decent cash flow from buying and selling on ebay that would be great. 10 points for best answer.

I will suggest trying to be a buyer first. Try to buy something small and just see how you handle the transactions. Write down what you liked and didn’t like about the way the sellers have handled their business. Remember, the idea is to learn what “not to do” to others.

As soon as you start learning about transactions in the eyes of a buyer (buying little stuff), then try selling little stuff and see how people react to your selling customer services. Then, slowly start selling things with higher values. Before you know it, you will be a pro at handling transactions at eBay.

    Good luck!

You should sell anything that you don’t care for anymore but that is in partly good shape or better but i also suggest craigslist.com because thats where i sell things and buy stuff so its more reliable i think

I don’t know what the book is called but it’s like the Kelly Blue book value for cards. Find out what you have and what it’s worth. I Have been selling on Ebay for years and I make just a few hundred a month and it’s alot of lucky breaks really. I see a lot of auctions for card lots unless you have some rare ones it’s not easy. Take really good pics, don’t use Stock pictures, People want to see the actual product you have in case there are flaws. Be honest in your description and , in your shipping fees. Always ship with good protection for the cards. I have read where guys just put them in the envelope…Read the discussion boards, they are great for advice. Take paypal as a form of payment, It offers seller protection.. Good Luck

I do a lot of ebaying. First go to ebay and check on what you want to sell, Ex. A baseball card, see if you can find one like it and check the price it is going for. It is best for you to start the bidding low. put a fixed price on it. That way you will get at least what you want if it sells. The sale has to go up to at least that price. Another item that would sell would be old blue jeans, if you have the right brand. Besure you have a camera to take a picture of the item you want to sell, it helps a lot. Start with the items you care the least about and work you self up as you learn. Another thing is little boys toys you may have played with. Besure to put the make and year of the toy. Most sellers are the items before the 1980′s. Cars, trucks, fisher price items, And for a hint, go to the thrift store and pick up old toys at a low price and you can make money one them. Good Luck hope to see you on there.

I am gonna be totally honest with you its not what your in to that makes the sales its all about supply and demand i do ebay and i found the best things to sell are jewerly and name brand clothes keep your starting bid at a low price so you will get alot of bidders intrested you will find that the most bids will flow in and tha last 30 mins of the auction always be totally honest in advertising what you are selling and be fair on the shipping cost you can add a marginal amount to the actual shipping cost for packing , gas to take it to the shipping station ect … any way i hope this helps good luck

My ebay user is id is kathryn319 if you ever need any help. I have 100% positive feedback. Once you figure out your unique user ID for Ebay then this is what I would suggest: I would first set up a Paypal account which takes 2-3 days to verify funds. You can use a checking account or credit card. Then I would invest in great camera atleast 4-5 megapixels if possible. Always take great pictures because it helps items sell. I even use backdrops to make pictures stand out. Then go to usps.com and select the size boxes you’re going to use and have these shipped to you at ZERO cost within a week. Get some packing tape, a scale for weighing from Walmart for around $9 or less. I have one that weighs up to 25lbs which helps when printing shipping labels on Paypal. I think by this time you’re ready to upload photos and running adds. I wont sell to any one with unpaid items or zero feedback. I’m on Ebay Kathryn319 if you have any more questions.
