    Yes, though it’s a distant past relation, and I’m not exactly proud of it.

    I’m related to former VP John Calhoun, from my grandpa’s side of the family. Actually, it was a family member of the former VP (I want to say brother, but I might be wrong) who disagreed with his views on slavery so much that he changed the spelling of his last name. Then later, at some point, someone in the family changed it back.

    But yeah, the man was a bit of a racist SOB, so it’s not exactly a thrilling bit of information in the family tree.

    I’m related by blood (I am her second cousin) to the French Consort to the President, Comtesse Nicole de Lecrose. In France she carries out official duties like filling in the First Lady at occasions.

    Edit: I am also related to my grandfather, Baron Ludwig de Ghent, who composed for the President’s Court for 13 years.
