I used to collect sports cards when I was a kid. I have thousands now, most of which I don’t care to keep and are just taking up space. I’m pretty sure some of them are quite valuable so I’d like to sell them. What’s the best way to do that? Through ebay? Amazon? At a sports or collectible shop?
I’d mostly like to get rid of them, but I’d also like to not get jipped at the same time. Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated.
People don’t post ads for sports cards in newspapers and supermarkets around here.

Buy the latest issue of the Beckett price guide magazine, they make Beckett Football and Beckett Basketball and so on. You can get those online or in a store, then go through there and see what is what. Now. Rookie cards are the most valuable. Also, inserts. An insert has a bunch of letters and stuff in the card number. The designation of the card in the set in unique. Just concentrate on those and forget about the other cards, even if they are huge, huge stars, and concentrate on your rookies and inserts, and look up their values.
Then post in your supermarket or place ads in newspapers.
